Linda's Last Show

Currently in development!

The 100th birthday party of the President of the Fraternal Order of Buffaloes turns into an all-out battle of survival when the zombie apocalypse breaks out during Manny the Magnificent’s magic act. Now everyone is trapped in the wood paneled Assembly Hall surrounded by portraits of dead white guys and taxidermied animal heads lavishly decorated with gold party banners. Our tragic hero, underpaid and aging magician’s assistant, Linda, courageously attempts to fight off life-size zombie puppets while trying not to turn into a monster herself. If the audience has any hope of getting out alive, they must work together to save Linda, themselves, and all of humanity.

Using puppets, magic, and a whole lot of confetti, LINDA'S LAST SHOW explores the collapse of capitalism and imagines what a new and equitable future might look like.

Y'all! THIS IS WHAT THE WORLD NEEDS! A safe space for kids/teens to express themselves face to face vs online. If you have a young person 8-17 or know of one who might be interested check this out from New Manifest Theatre!

**Kids aged 8 - 17 are invited to submit their original poems, songs, stories, and monologues for "Manifest the Future."

If chosen, participants will receive a $50 honorarium and an opportunity to perform their pieces in front of arts professionals on January 25th.

@lyscomedyfest has created not only a funny festival filled with brilliant and I mean BRILLIANT women such as: @theisabellepierre, @wynterspears, @kechfest, @msalready, @georgiadawkins, @lisaorkingram, and locals Valerie Lopez @comedywham and trope @hysteriacomedyatx (are just FEW of the people I was able to witness) but it has been one of the most welcoming and supportive communities I've encountered. TY to all the people who worked behind the scenes to make this happen, all the venues, and all the participants and attendees. I'm leaving so inspired and uplifted. Cannot wait for next year in which I will block off more time so I can attend all the things.
